Speed Dating isn't just about finding a potential partner. It’s about offering singles a safe and easy way to meet new people, make new friends and have a great time.
Speed Dating nights allow you to meet 10 men or women, have a few drinks, and light food, in the relaxed fun atmosphere at the Gbah Tavern. You spend 8 minutes chatting with each of your dates - just enough time to figure out who you’d like to see again. The following day you are sent the contact details of the people that liked you too, and from there it’s up to you!
How the evening works.
Just make sure you rock up on time. You'll see signs pointing you to our private function area where the event will take place. You'll be greeted by your host who will make sure you've got a drink and give you a G-Spot match card.
The match card is where you write down the names of your dates and put either a yes or no next to each name. There is no limit to the number of "yes’s" you choose and your choices remain completely confidential between the host and you. If you have put a "yes" to someone who has also put a "yes" to you, that's a match! You will receive an email the next day giving you the names and contact details of the people you matched with. Easy!
Never Speed Dated before?
Relax, and remember everyone is there for the same reason as you. It sounds like a good idea and a bit of fun, and are up for a good night out and a laugh. Does that sound like the kind of people you'd like to meet?
Q. What age groups do you cater for?
Age groups range from 20 years up. Dating events are tailored as best as possible to cater for the age of people requested by you.
Q. How much does it cost?
The normal cost to attend speed dating is $50 which includes free flowing bubbles and beer, scrumptious finger food, and not to mention 10 dates! How’s that for value? Gbah Tavern Singles Scene also proudly supports Breast Cancer Research.
To secure your spot, payment is required before the event either by credit card over the phone, or by popping in to the Gbah Tavern to pay cash. As the events are limited to 10 guys and 10 girls, get in quick!
Please note refunds are not available for cancellation or non attendance.
Q. What should I wear?
Be comfortable (although your favourite trackies or boardies may not be a real turn on). While you may like to dress to impress, what you wear should still be an expression of you. Smart casual works best.
